Hammy EX3 featuring Therion | Octopath CotC

Описание: The longer this fight goes, the more progressively messier it gets. My playing also gradually grew worse. This fight has many stages and the attack pattern of Hammy becomes trickier the lower HP her adds have.

It's funny seeing that this attempt took me the same amount of turns as my EX2 attempt.

For this fight, I got advice from Prim is my EX . Instead of turtling through the whole thing with Ophilia's healing, I would focus solely on shaving shields, and breaking them whenever possible.

This worked very well for the first 75% of the fight, and it looked like it would take me no more than 40 turns to complete, until Hammy started adding regen to her actions. Besides impeding my progress a lot (because they regain a lot of HP at EX3) this unequalized the HP of the two adds that I was working hard to keep balanced so I could kill them both at the same time.

In one final break, I killed one add but couldn't finish off the other (who lived on a sliver of health). That was the right add, who proceeded to go super saiyan and absolutely wreck my front row. Panicking, I boosted my strongest attacks and attacked the right add.

This killed off the add.

This also triggered Hammy's attack trap, that I, in my alarm, had somehow forgot about.

Hammy goes into her last phase and I try to revive everyone with Rinyuu's Preservation. Unfortunately, H'aanit EX depended a lot on Tatloch's SP regen for most of the fight. Having to revive her meant that she had no SP coming in.

The last half of this clear were very, very messy, but I'm glad it worked out because the entire thing took me 1 hour and 25 minutes to complete, and I wouldn't want to go through this again.
