NOT the Cedar Creek at Closeburn
Access to this walk is off Stony Creek Road in Bellthorpe National Park, and started at Beacon Road, looped down to Cedar Creek, climbed up to the Border Track, joined back onto Beacon Road and back to the car park. (430m elevation gain)
Part 1 and 2
Beacon Road to Cedar Creek 4.0 kms
part 3
Cedar Creek to to Border Break 1.65 kms … silver gate and left turn
part 4
Border Track to Beacon Road 2.5 km … left again
Beacon Road to the start on Brandons Road 4.1 km
part 4 is a few minutes video of 5.5kms walk on 4wd roads
The track is slippery downhill. I had leg twinges by the finish, should have been earlier on the track, or left this one for winter.
Because I was constantly stopping and starting on the climb up from the Border Break track, I have edited the walk on that section, from the silver gate on the Border track, to Beacon Road, and then the finish next to Brandon Road.
