In the mist-shrouded foothills of Swabia lies the abandoned town of Elmburg, now mostly crumbled buildings still dominated by the tower of Master Hildebrand. Once famed for his rare mountain herbs and strange remedies, Hildebrand perished in the upper chambers during his desperate experiments to find a cure for the Creeping Death. Now, the Santi Incappucciati search his preserved herbs, roots and whispered miracles rumored to be in the tower. But the Bone Keepers, guards who once swore to protect Hildebrand and his work, have returned as well… and they mean to keep his secrets sealed, even in death.
