(23 Dec 2014) Hezbollah deputy leader Sheikh Naim Qassem on Tuesday met the families of a number of kidnapped Lebanese soldiers.
Islamic State and al-Nusra Front briefly overran the northeastern border town of Arsal in early August, taking more than 30 Lebanese soldiers and policemen captive.
They have since released eight and killed four.
Tuesday's meeting in Beirut followed a series of discussions between the families of the men being held hostage and Lebanese officials to find a swap deal with the kidnappers.
After the meeting Qassem told reporters that Hezbollah was ready to give its help in finding a way to release the hostages.
