The 1975 is one of my favorite bands of recent memory. Their self-titled, debut album was the only thing I listened to for an entire year when I first bought it back in 2013. Last time I checked, the iTunes play count on most of my favorite songs from that album were in the few thousands. Literally. Clearly, I was as excited about the release of their new album as anyone. When "The Sound" was released as one of the first new singles on Spotify, I couldn't wait to record this acoustic cover and lend my personal touch to a track I knew would become an instant classic among fans.
