A video tribute to Admiral James Norrington from the Pirates of the Caribbean Trilogy. In my opinion, he was the true hero of the series. I hope they bring him back in the 4th film.

The video pretty much goes like this. It starts with Norrington's promotion (with a nice Union Jack flying, I might add) and goes to him awkwardly talking to Elizabeth Swann about his promotion and a possible marriage. Then she falls into the ocean, is saved, and Norrington sees Jack Sparrow for what he is: a murdering pirate. He remembers all those years ago the destroyed merchant vessel and the bodies of the people killed by pirates, and becomes enraged. Sparrow then strangles Elizabeth and escapes, and Norrington orders his men to open fire. It then cuts James catching Jack, and to William Turner completely freaking out and proposing a rash and ridiculous plan to free Sparrow. Then it cuts to more memories of Elizabeth. Elizabeth manipulates James into saving Will, and James heroically fights the undead pirates. It then shows to James' haunting speech, a memory of letting Jack go, and a promise of redemption: the heart of Davy Jones. James takes the heart, and in a moment of weakness, gives it to Lord Beckett. James is promoted to Admiral in the East India Trading Company, and shortly after he reunites with Elizabeth. He frees her from jail, and sacrifices his life to make sure she escapes.
