Ambassador Sørensen discussed the new tools and engagement options available on the ground in Bosnia after the recent transition to a reinforced EU presence, as well as the current state of play in regional cooperation efforts and the obstacles on Bosnia's road to EU integration.
About the speaker:
Peter Sørensen was appointed EU Special Representative and Head of Delegation for Bosnia and Herzegovina in September 2011. With over fifteen years experience in the Western Balkans, Ambassador Sørensen has previously worked in Macedonia, Serbia, Kosovo, Bosnia and Croatia. In his current role as the EUSR, he is responsible for the coordination of EU activities in Bosnia, maintaining progress in the implementation of the Dayton Peace Agreement and assisting the country in its move towards EU integration.
