Inside Juvenile Detention: Teen Mom Meets With Her Lawyer - Interview Behind Bars

Описание: From Our Archive: Viewers on our channel have watched a previous interview with teen mom Kymyada and the family turmoil involved in her case. Several years ago, Kymyada was arrested and brought into juvie after her mom called her in as a runaway after she failed to return home after a night of going out with friends. Kymyada claimed it was all a misunderstanding, but her mom thought Kymyada needed to learn a lesson about the responsibilities of parenting her young daughter.

In this video, our cameras got a rare glimpse of what a teen goes through when meeting with their public defender the day before their juvenile court hearing. During the course of the conversation inside a juvenile detention facility, Kymyada's lawyer asks her to recount what happened the night she was arrested, and also prepares her for what she should expect in court. This includes what she thinks her mom might say if the lawyer calls her mother to the stand to testify, and what the long term options might be for Kymyada and her infant daughter.
