Most of the resets came from trying to group the first group of enemies efficiently enough to enable the rest of the run to proceed smoothly. A big realization for the run was that Dailyn can actually drain a first chain-ult conversion on the 2nd wave, and still make enough energy to get a second chain-ult conversion coming into the first stun window of the main boss.
If I was better at my Banyue inputs or if he were stronger (maybe 40 subs?) it might be possible to kill within the first stun window, potentially getting 40k score. But I'm pretty happy just getting 34k because this is closer to a realistic stage where Banyue is not being carried by the other two stages.
While this Banyue clear is definitely not as high as my original score for this boss, playing him is a different kind of satisfaction when you know you are not just mashing buttons because of the timing requirements for his combos.
I don't know when I'll ever be able to learn the mountain crush-cancel into chain attack, but I was able to trigger it by accident in a run prior to this lmao.
