P&O Arvia full deck 8 Tour.

Описание: Starting all the way forward on deck 8 we can see the crew outdoor relaxation area which has 2 hot tubs and a small pool which is situated one deck below.
It also has the front of the full wrap around promenade deck, you get amazing views over the bow from here, the bridge high above as well as all of the forward facing balcony’s.

Moving to the side is Arvia’s deck 8 balcony’s. These consist of standard balcony’s as well as the new conservatory mini suites. One thing to bare in mind is these rooms as are all pretty much at deck level, being raised by only about a foot so you have people walking past on the promenade deck itself. The glass is frosted on the balcony fronts which means your view is blocked a little when sat down, but people don’t get a good view in to maintain your privacy.

On the prom deck in front of these cabins are 6 infinity hot tubs, 3 either side, Amazing views from these and very well sheltered but the wind breaks and glass panels at the sides.

Then inside we get to the keel and cow, Arvia’s gastropub/steakhouse. The menu is so extensive here, we never had problems finding anything ti try. In fact we could have probably eaten here most nights and never been stuck. Favourites for us was the baked Brie starter, and spatchcock chicken for mains. Omg so good……

Then aft of this we have the sweet shop with cadbury, toblerone, m&m’s and more.
Next to this and further aft is Rippels gelateria.
It has an amazing array of gelato treats including the gelato afternoon tea, individual bites at a small charge(I looooved the gelato macaroon’s, as well as serving coffee to sit in or to go. TOP TIP: if the coffee shop on deck 6 is busy, get your coffee up here.

Next we have Sindhu bar and restaurant. P&O’s famous curry house. On Iona and Arvia they have a separate menu from the rest of the fleet which was nice to see. The quality is superb especially for the small extra price you pay. Best dish for me is the signature plate. A great variety and just delicious.

Nest up aft we have the quays, a complementary buffet style venue. With three individual hole in the wall style outlets, you can choose from fish and chips, Asian quinine, or Sunday roast dishes specialising in Yorkshire puddings. All these are available for lunch and dinner, but they cleverly use this area as a buffet alternative at breakfast as well. They turn the fish and chip counter into the waffle and pancake place, the Asian counter into the omelet and egg station, and the roast counter to the breakfast buffet.
TOP TIP 2: if you want a quieter breakfast or speedier I’d recommend coming here in the morning. It was always a lot more quiet than the buffet up stairs. Also the sitting out area is amazing if the weather is warm enough. Just perfect.
Fav dishes most certainly the Katsu Curry, and giant Sunday roast Yorkshire, roast potatoes, stuffing balls and cauliflower cheese. Sooooo good.
This area also has a small selection of things you get in the buffet like salads, cakes etc and a drinks station too.

Next in line further aft we Green and Co. Arvia’s plant based restaurant. This was without a doubt our favourite place to eat. The flavours and textures were something else, and the food and restaurant both looked stunning. Nine of us are vegetarians but we just fell in love with this venue. It’s an additional charge so for an idea, we ordered between 3 of us,

And the total cost was £41. Pretty darn good that.
Please try it, don’t think about it being plant based, it’s just wonderful…..
This venue also hosts the sushi bar Mizuhana, but we didn’t get to try that. It did look good though.

Next up we have the Club house. A huge venue at the very aft of the interior spaces. This is Arvia’s club area where they have quizzes, amd lectures during the day, then performances of all different kinds at night, including from the house band Pulse, and alternate celebrity impressionists. That doesn’t do them justice. Every one of them we have seen on P&O ships have been incredible. This time was Jayne Middleton as Annie Lennox. Just brilliant.

Then further aft we have the final venue, the sunset bar. With a lovely seating area and wonderful views aft, as well as two of the biggest hot tubs I’ve ever seen. A wonderful place to sit and watch the sunset with a glass of your favourite.
