Heritage Auctions recently had a large guitar auction with some pretty cool pieces! Of the 4 I was really interested in, I was able to win the bid on two of them. The first one, I will share with you tonight but the 2nd will have to wait for SPOOKY GUITAR MONTH!

This is a 1983 Gibson Spotlight Special in the Antique Natural finish. While not in the cleanest of condition, after some TLC - she's looking mighty fine. With these getting rarer to find on the market every day, I consider documenting any spotlight to be a treat!

Sadly, this guitar was discovered to have a crack in the neck that appears to have been repair a long long time ago. It was unfortunate - but for anyone curious - Heritage gave me the option to return or accept a partial refund. Since I had already sunk 3-4 hours of work into this one, I decided to just keep it.

Heritage is a good place to buy from - they pack REALLY well, but I would highly suggest bidding conservatively if you can't view in person and to look over your purchases w/ an expert as no business is perfect and it is possible for workers to miss finer details. In this situation, Heritage was able to assist! No issues at all with my 2nd buy.
