This is a fantastic short hike and gives you access to the top of Barr Liath,sitting at 269m. The views of Kyles of Bute and beyond are lovely. There are fantastic paths around the forest which are currently being upgraded. A lot of the work is being carried out by enthusiastic volunteers, so well done all. Access to the summit can be achieved easily by following the new path at the north end of the hill, however I climbed it using the old path which is slightly more difficult.
