In 1972 when I was a freshman at Cascade High School in Everett, Washington. I met a fellow freshman student, Alex Aller, who was a bass player and his dad worked as a DJ at a radio station in Western Washington State. I had a chance to check out his record collection and found this one. I asked him about it and he told me it was a jazz record so I said... to put it on.....soon as Alex put it on the turntable it struck me as something that I could actually learn some jazz drum lick's from and that it seemed..... somewhat plausible that I could achieve the mental and physical ability to learn to play this song on my drums.
So I went to find the album. I had to order it through a local record store called The Record Theatre. This record is still a favorite of mine.
