O holy Saint Romuald,
You left behind the riches and honors of the world
to seek the silence where God speaks.
In the stillness of the forest and the solitude of the cell,
you found your joy in prayer, penance, and the presence of the Lord.

Teach us to hunger for God above all things.
Help us to quiet the noise of our busy lives,
that we may listen to the gentle whisper of His voice.
Guide us in the path of humility and simplicity,
that our hearts may be purified and set free to love.

Saint Romuald, intercede for us,
that we may be courageous in our faith,
constant in our devotion,
and fearless in seeking holiness,
even when it leads us away from comfort and into the desert of the soul.

May your example inspire us
to find peace not in possessions,
but in prayer and in the hidden life with Christ.
