This video is about Letter of credit and CAD 45 Days.
LC at Sight (Letter of Credit at Sight) is a payment term used in international trade where the buyer’s bank guarantees payment to the seller immediately (at sight) upon presentation and verification of required shipping documents.
CAD 45 Days in finance means Cash Against Documents with 45 days credit. Under this payment term, the seller ships goods and sends the shipping documents through the bank. The buyer can collect the documents only after accepting the payment obligation. However, actual payment to the seller is made 45 days after the Bill of Lading (BL) date or document date. The bank releases the documents to the buyer so they can clear the goods from port, but the seller receives the money only after the 45-day credit period ends. CAD 45 Days reduces risk compared to open credit while giving the buyer credit flexibility.
