Tip #1: Remember these UCAT Situational Judgement definitions:
very appropriate - the optimal approach, very inappropriate - will make situation worse, very important - essential to consider, not Important - completely irrelevant.

Tip #2: Whenever you are approaching UCAT situational judgement scenarios, ask yourself what would a medical student do and what would your GP do?

Tip #3: Don't judge a response to be the only response that will happen. There can be multiple optimal responses

Tip #4: Remember, several responses could be 'very appropriate’ for a scenario. So try not to overly compare responses in different questions (on the same scenario)

Tip #5: Always think about the short term and long term for UCAT Situational Judgement scenarios.

Tip #6: Consider a sense check when you’re putting an answer as very appropriate for UCAT questions. Ask yourself, Is this a local and direct solution? Does it put the patient first?Does it maintain the integrity of the profession? Is this the best possible response in the key domains?

Tip #7: Only raise to higher authority when needed. Don’t raise to higher powers unless necessary. Always try to resolve things locally and directly
