Let’s rewind. After Mufasa’s death and Simba’s dramatic escape, the movie hits us with a massive time gap. Simba disappears into the jungle, stumbles into a Hakuna Matata lifestyle, and grows up under the wing of a carefree meerkat and a flatulent warthog. Meanwhile, back in the Pride Lands, Scar rises to power. He steps into the throne he always wanted, and the kingdom begins to fall apart.
