Ark plant x defense is a solid way to get started defending your base. Some people go as far as to make a ark plant x tower or even ark plant x raft defense. Ark plant X series turrets are certainly the cheapest early game defense, especially in Ark survival ascended official servers. However, they take a lot more time to grow and they are easy to destroy. While in the late game I would not build a plant x turret tower, even later in the game the blind and slow can be a huge benefit for your 100 gun turret tower. In ASA the plant X operates almost exactly like it did in ASE. The only real difference is irrigation which; thankfully, was simplified!
