The African Union Summit was supposed to be business as usual… until Namibia’s President dropped a political bombshell.
Speaking at the International High-Level Leaders’ Session on Water Investment, on the margins of the 39th AU Summit, the Namibian President roasted African leaders for endless talk and zero action — especially on climate-resilient water investments.
With the theme “Water for People and Prosperity through Cooperation and Investment in Water,” this means one thing:
💧 No water = No development.
🌍 No action = No future.
🔥 And Africa can’t afford excuses anymore.
This was not a diplomatic speech.
This was a wake-up call.
She/he challenged African governments to move from conferences to construction, from promises to projects, and from summits to solutions — because millions of Africans are already suffering from droughts, floods, and water insecurity.
