Description:
In this autism friendly coding tutorial, we build a fully working stopwatch app in Next.js from start to finish.
By the end of this video, you’ll have a stopwatch that supports start, pause, resume, and reset — and measures accurate elapsed time using timestamps instead of relying on interval counting.
We use:
`useState` for UI state
`useRef` for internal timing data
`useEffect` to manage updates and cleanup
Real timestamps (`Date.now()`) to prevent timing drift
Everything is built step by step in a calm, structured way designed for autistic and ADHD learners who prefer clear logic over flashy edits.
