At the tail end of the list, Mark 'Oh was still hanging on with “Tears Don't Lie”, while Janet Jackson made her playful entrance with the groove-filled “Whoops Now”. Eurodance duo La Bouche kicked in with their explosive “Be My Lover”, a track that would soon conquer dancefloors across Europe. 💃🕺

We saw The Cranberries gently glide down with “Ode To My Family”, while fresh entries brought spice: 2 Unlimited returned with the energetic “Here I Go”, and East 17 gave us a new hit in “Let It Rain”. Also debuting: Wet Wet Wet’s “Julia Says”, a soft Britpop shimmer, and Green Day’s punk-pop anthem “Basket Case”, adding punch to the chart!

The middle spots were stacked: Herbie kept the funk alive with “Right Type Of Mood”, Freak Power delivered acid jazz vibes with “Turn On, Tune In, Cop Out”, and The Connells were climbing with the timeless “’74-’75”.
