In this run we use a combination of full dash build, buffed inferno pistol and buffed balance power sword.
Last time we tested the new perk "Strong Strike" on its own with no other Jump Pack Dash(JPD) perks. This time we combine it with the all the other JPD perks for a full dash build. This allows us to go up in charge if you perform both a JPD perfect dodge and land the Jump Pack Dash Attack(JPDA). Strong Strike also gives this build a great way to initiate without using a charge. Now ground pound can be saved for situations where the stagger, invincibility or burst damage is needed.
We also run dash attack perks to increase the damage from JPDA and makes the followup combo deal 25% more damage. In this run with the power sword we do JPDA into power whirl a lot and it can one combo a ranged majoris. Speaking of combo after JPDA, when testing with other weapons the followup combo after JPDA is slow. But the power sword is different and has a fast followup. They need to give this fast followup to all the weapons.
The inferno pistol received a 22% gunstrike damage buff in patch 12. It feels much better now especially on vanguard, sniper and heavy, but I feel it should do more gunstrike damage with assault. I would like to see some modifier that makes inferno pistol gunstrikes stronger only on assault. Because assault only has a secondary and no primary, which is a huge drawback. I think it would be reasonable to have the high gunstrike damage on assault for the trade off of having low ranged weapons. In regards to inferno pistol itself. We've seen many buffs to the gunstrike damage of inferno pistol over the last few patches, but I don't think they've address any of the perks. The perks are very lackluster and need some buffs or reworks. For example the top row perk that reduces your magazine size to 1 and increases damage by 50% is never used. The damage either needs to go up drastically or add an extra effect of increasing gunstrike damage. The perk that increase effective range by 1m is also weak. It doesn't increase the range by 1m, but decreases damage falloff by 1m. Also 1m is very short in this game. We also have the reload speed perks. I will say inferno pistols reload speed is bad, so you would think the reload speed perks would be good, but the one that requires no armor is hard to do. When you have no armor you would be in a situation where you don't have time to reload or everything is already dead and that reload speed doesn't matter. I would change the condition to something like after a finisher the reload speed increases by 30% for 10s. The fire-rate variant is also weak. It does less damage per shot and does less gunstrike damage and the ammo economy is terrible.
There are 2 versions of relic balanced power sword. In this run we use the damage variant. The other version has more combo speed. In patch 12 they received a damage buff. For the damage variant it went from a 80% damage modifier to a 110% modifier.
And the speed one went from 70% to 95%. The damage variant feels very good as in terms of damage and cleave, you can easily clear minoris hordes by spamming lights in power mode. I haven't tested the attack speed variant, but I suspect it will be even better at clearing hordes, due to leaving less of a gap in between strikes.
Sorry for the screen being blurry starting at 21:28. It is due to a bug with using the old stimm and switching to the new one before the healing visuals on screen finishes. To avoid it, wait for the stimm screen animation to finish before picking the other stimm up.
