I walk 6.3 miles in total, circling back to Ramsden Heath. The moody landscape was reminiscent of Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights I thought. With the outdoors shrouded in mist I find some solitude and feisty geese!

Also in this mini adventure:
The Old Ale House (was it called the Leather bottle?), Downham Road; 1800's red brick white washed grade 2 listed. Part thatched roof. Converted to 2 bed and modernised throughout, found it on Rightmove.
The Old Pumphouse, Downham Road; not much history online. Presume it was for protecting a water system for irrigation maybe, I'm not sure it was connected to filling the reservoir. Close proximity to the old ale house though.
Hanningfield reservoir, built in 1951. Flooding the hamlet of Peadown or Peasedown (presumably named after the amount of rain we get here).
