Mock Class 5/7 ICBC Road Test with an Ex Driver Examiner

Hi! My name is Owl. I'm an instructor in various forms, a huge fan of being on the road, I'm a pretty knowledgeable in the MVA. But most importantly, I was an ICBC Driver Examiner for many years. I left for reasons.

The ICBC road test. A fun test. Class 7N test is to see if you can be safe on the roads. The class 5 is all about breaking the bad habits you've DEFINITELY acquired.

In this video, I start as a 7N road test, so I do all the maneuvers required to be successful in it. But when we get to the actual driving, it turns into a class 5 test. But aside from maneuvers, they're fairly similar. Aside from "testing" other drivers on the road (I swear I cannot turn it off), I don't really talk about how to pass, I just do the exam. I give myself the directions and then do what is expected. I'm also wearing a motorcycle helmet and my camera is attached to my chin, it is incredibly uncomfortable! You'll see lots of head movements. Those are my shoulder checks. The route I selected WAS (very important, WAS) an official road test route but with the shorter road tests, this route is no longer active.

Plz note. I'm not here to argue, this is how I marked my tests while on the job and I left ICBC with a 49/51% pass fail. Every examiner is different but we all should be marking the same.
