I recently taught this piano piece by Gillock to one of my students. When I asked him what kind of image he would picture, he said that he would imagine either someone had left his or her a loved one or had passed away. From the title and harmony of it you can definitely think that Gillock is trying evoking some beautiful memory. It is a very short piece, but the simple melody lingers in one's ear for a long time...
I currently teach at Biola University and Vanguard University while serving as organist at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Newport Beach, California.
