The India Academic Initiative in Architecture

Описание: Launched on April 9, 2022 the India Academic Initiative in Architecture (INITIATE) will provide a platform to bring together industry and academia, in a synergistic relationship, aimed specifically to build the next generation of Enterprise Architects and contribute to propelling India’s journey towards a digital economy.
The role of Enterprise Architects is one of the most sought after both by employers and employees. The mainstreaming of digital transformation has only exacerbated this trend, particularly after the widespread adoption of IndEA by the Government of India. The landscape is a lot more amenable to hiring and grooming Enterprise Architects and it is emerging as a growing career track both for in-house and external (consulting) roles.
For example, India is now the third largest and the fastest-growing geography in the world for TOGAF® Certified Enterprise Architects. The point in all of this is that there is demand for skilled and well-trained Enterprise Architects, and yet only a handful of universities and academic institutions in India teach this as a subject at graduate and post-graduate levels. The demand-supply mismatch cannot be overstated. This is where INITIATE comes in. The session will cover its vision, objectives, foundational pillars, guiding principles and expected impact.

Speaker: Dr. Pallab Saha, Pallab is General Manager (India) at The Open Group, and President of the Association of Enterprise Architects (India). As General Manager (India) at The Open Group, and President of the Association of Enterprise Architects (India) he heads and is responsible for all of The Open Group’s business operations and growth in India and the region. He has successfully advanced enterprise architecture as a discipline through thought-leadership and advocacy activities, solidifying The Open Group’s brand, visibility, and impact, particularly in the government and public sector domain.
