Bruce Guthro, Runrig and the Ballistic Selfie - are you in the photo with Runrig?

Originally uploaded on 31st August 2024 on what would have been Bruce's 63rd birthday. After clocking up more than a thousand views I replaced the original video as, thanks to Andrew King, official Runrig photographer for decades, Andrew generously agreed to permit my use of his photo which he took that night when Bruce announced that the band wanted a selfie.
It's a great photo, capturing the band we love - and almost all of the Riggies that attended the gig that night. Look behind the band and you may well find yourself in the photo!!
With Runrig's music copyright in mind I had kept this video unpublished - until Bruce's 63rd birthday and I thought it appropriate to share, Runrig generously 'passed' on the copyright issue.

I felt it appropriate to share this (non-monetised) video and mark this day with a great performance by Bruce and the band - and a classic demonstration of Bruce's love for the fans and his playful sense of humour.
I hope that we can all celebrate Bruce's life, remember moments like in this video and enjoy his music legacy with Runrig, as an accomplished singer songwriter as well as his performances with other quality musicians - including his family members.
Apologies for my fingertip briefly appearing on the corner of the video after Bruce returned my phone. Like all the other Riggies I was enjoying the show rather than my phone's screen.

Like so many Riggies around the world, I count myself very lucky to have been in Runrig's audience across the years as we, their fans, shared the band's gigs with them.
