Hello! It's been 13 years since I created my first "village." It was a few buildings, some figurines and trees, and a little HO train. We were so proud of it!
My how we've grown! (We've also moved a couple of times and finally have a huge living room.)
My 2022 village consists of four areas: Dickens which is mostly Dept 56 (and hands down, my favorite), the North Pole and Dog Park on the tree levels which is primarily Lemax, a Ski Resort and Slope which is all Lemax, and a Wilderness section which is a nice blend of Dept 56 and Lemax. I upgraded my train three years ago to an American Flyer S gauge Polar Express. It's a lot of fun!
My husband built the tree for me in 2019 when we had a tiny little living room and no place else to set up a display. The following year, I discovered Dept 56 Dickens at a yard sale. I bought a few pieces, then a few more, than more.... I mean how could I resist the quality of Dept 56? Not to mention the fact that the Victorian era has always been my passion at Christmas. But where was I gonna put everything?
We figured it all out, as you can see, when we bought a larger (than our house) condo that has a big living room. (We thought incorporating the tree that my husband built would be pretty awesome. And...it is!) Our living room is so big, in fact, that when we first looked at the condo, we were both wondering what we'd do with all this "extra" space. (We also have a t.v. room.)
Well, I lit up, looked over at my husband, winked at our realtor and said, "Christmas Village!" There were many other reasons, of course, that led to us buying this condo last summer but I'm just so happy to have an entire room that we can dedicate to my "dream" Christmas village a few months each year.
Hope you enjoy my video!

The second song, Christmas Homecoming, does not require copyright information, but was composed by Aaron Kenny. Both songs were selected from youtube's royalty-free library.
P.S. I'd planned for a short third song, but wasn't able to add it for some reason. My apologies for the "Sound of Silence" ending. I guess I'm a much better village designer than I am a videographer. LOL.
Повторяем попытку...
