TN Alliance: Vijay's TVK Rushes To Form Govt, Seeks Congress & Left Support While Sidelining AIADMK

Описание: Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay has formally reached out to the Congress, VCK, and Left parties to secure the numbers needed to form the government in Tamil Nadu. TVK currently holds 107 seats, factoring in Vijay's expected resignation from the Trichy East constituency. To reach the majority mark, the party is seeking the support of five Congress MLAs, four from the Left, and two from the VCK. Vijay is reportedly avoiding an alliance with the AIADMK, despite claims by CV Shanmugham that 25 MLAs are ready to back TVK, to prevent demands for power-sharing. A Congress delegation, including Girish Chodankar, is scheduled to meet Vijay to finalise the alliance. While the Congress is demanding two cabinet berths, reports suggest they may settle for one to ensure the BJP and AIADMK remain out of power. TVK is pushing to hold the swearing-in ceremony as early as tomorrow, aiming to stake a claim as the single largest party.
