Waste Connections’ All New Diesel/Electric Hybrid Garbage Truck!

Описание: Alright, there's a ton to be said about my local WC yard's most unique truck, so I'll try not to type an essay :)

Here is an official video of the Boivin Evolution (BEV) body in action! I am super thrilled to have the privilege of finding this. After I've heard the rumors since August, the plan was to reveal it in a huge surprise, but the company's social media outlets beat me to it haha. The Mack LR is your usual diesel chassis, while the BEV body is mostly powered by electric motors. The original grippers with the neat "close grab" function were actually replaced not long ago. It can service 1000-1300 carts each day before having to be charged again, which I'm guessing takes 8+ hours (don't quote me on that). At the moment, this unit only does trash because cardboard boxes from recycle and the auger packer blade are a bad match (you'll find a surprise clip courtesy of the driver). I have a lot more footage from this exciting day, though I'm saving it for something in the future. Without further ado, hope y'all enjoy!
