Scottsdale Communications Albertsons Incident Award

Описание: Scottsdale Communications received two awards this year at the annual Arizona APCO/NENA State Training Conference.

The first award was for “Scottsdale PD Communications & Paradise Valley PD Communications 2025 Team of the Year”. Presented to the teams
whose collaboration, coordination, and commitment to service set the highest standard in public safety communications.

In July 2024, Paradise Valley partnered with Scottsdale to temporarily relocate their communications center during a major remodel, utilizing new “hot seating” feature for a seamless transition. Through close collaboration between bot cities’ departments- IT to facilities- and incredible teamwork, Paradise Valley operated out of Scottsdale without interruption, even amid Scottsdale’s own generator installation. Over the months , what began as a logistical project turned into a shared journey of partnership, camaraderie, and mutual supporting that no matter the size of the agency, we are all one team working together. Scottsdale Communications and Paradise Valley staff made ‘hot seating” a reality. Scottsdale is the first, and currently the only agency in our state that has made this happen.

The second award that we received was for “Dispatch Incident of the Year”- Scottsdale Police and Gilbert Police Department.
On August 6th, 2024, during an active shooter incident at a Scottsdale grocery store, Scottsdale and Gilbert Police Departments demonstrated exceptional coordination and response to this incident. Just hours after implementing a new Emergency Communication Center messaging feature in Rapid Deploy, dispatchers from both agencies used it to share real-time information, ensuring officer and citizen safety. The incident highlights the power of innovation, teamwork and the vital role dispatchers play to the public safety.
