I get so many questions from a lot of eCom store owners when they are deciding what Google Shopping campaign structure is the best for their eCommerce store.
"What is the best Google Ads campaign structure?
"How many ad groups should I create if I have hundreds of products in my store?"
"Should I use product group splits to divide my products?"
"Should I create multiple campaigns and multiple ad groups in each campaign?"

But the again, there is no right or wrong Google Ads campaign structure, but what you can do is find the WINNING BALANCE to achieve the results that you really want. To be successful in Google Shopping Ads, it’s important that you understand how Google Shopping structures, Ad groups, and product groups work.

Now here are some AdWords campaign structure example and when I use them to achieve maximum results for my campaigns.

Google Ads Campaign Structure #1: 1 campaign, 1 product group, all products with the same bid
This is the easiest campaign to create and manage, and it's what I recommend for eCommerce beginners who are just starting and learning the ropes. However, this campaign structure is really not my go-to. Regardless of how well your products perform, you are paying the same amount per click, which is a terrible move. For most eCom store owners, their products have different prices and they have different conversion rates.

This is a bad move because maybe you have products that are selling for $10 in the campaign with products selling for $100. You will make a lot more profit on the $100 product, so why bid the same for those clicks?

Google Ads Campaign Structure #2: 1 campaign, 1 Ad Group, Multiple products split out in that campaign
This is my favorite one to start with and what I recommend to newbies to the Google Shopping game. A KEY point here is that you should be managing your bids on the product level. Always!!

Google Ads Campaign Structure #3: Muti-Campaign Google Shopping Structure
In this structure, you will have more than one shopping campaign. These structures are more complicated and you won’t touch these until your shopping campaigns are delivering consistent sales each month. I’m saying, 100+ conversions per month.

A multi-campaign structure is where you have multiple campaigns and you set up your negative keywords and priority levels so that you can funnel traffic to each campaign based on search queries. So you can have a campaign for brand keywords, a campaign for SKU related keywords, and a campaign for more general keywords.
