I Have My Reasons began as a monologue written for actress Lisa Jones during the 2020 pandemic. That page and a half eventually expanded into a fifteen-page screenplay filmed nearly five years later. The story explores an abusive relationship through themes of forgiveness and acceptance, showing the complexity behind situations that are often treated as one-dimensional.
