Happy Raj is a 2026 Indian Tamil-language romantic comedy drama film written and directed by debutant Maria Raja Elanchezian and produced by Beyond Pictures. It stars G. V. Prakash Kumar, Abbas (in his comeback to films), and Sri Gouri Priya in the lead roles.

The film is packed with powerful dialogues and impactful scenes, all of which are well justified by the entire crew. "Hindi Imposition" emerges as an evergreen and still-burning topic. Instead of presenting the narrative as a historical retelling, the director smartly frames it as a hero-villain conflict, making it more relatable without much censor cuts.

The first half begins and ends with big bangs, with the interval block being a superb mass moment. Interestingly, even the climax doesn't deliver a punch as strong as the interval, considering the theme. The actors give more than 100%, though it feels like GV's contribution was around 75%. The first half is a slow burn; the romantic portions work well and add a commercial, entertaining flavor, though they slightly derail the film's core emotional intensity.
