The Drop In is an essential basic skateboard trick when it comes to transition skating. If you can’t drop in, it’s almost impossible to skate the mini ramp properly. You would only be able to skate a quarter-pipe by starting from the flat. The Drop In is pretty easy… you just have to overcome your fear of falling. You stand with your tail on the coping of the quarter-pipe or ramp and you lean forward and Drop In. That’s it! You’ll see how easy it can be.

In our Drop In video tutorial with different camera perspectives and slow motion, we show you everything you need to learn how to Drop In properly. You should start by practising it on a small quarter-pipe and then moving on to higher ones afterwards. The faster you do the Drop-In the less you’ll be afraid of it.
