Its the last day of Marella Voyager's "A Taste of the Tropics" itinerary, but if you're staying for 2 weeks like me its also the first day of "Paradise Islands"
While some people went home and new people arrived I went to The Boatyard, at Carlisle Beach in Barbados on changeover day, with a couple of my new solo friends for company.
For 35 US dollars, or 70 Barbados dollars, you get a free drink, use of the sunbeds and beach umbrellas and a snorkelling boat trip - fantastic. I'm going to highly recommend this.
Then as usual we enjoyed the food and entertainment on the ship as we sailed away for our second week on Marella Voyager.
