Описание: Tanzania's government will open bids for exploratory licenses for natural gas on the 9th of May 2014, once the required legislation and policy is in place. The Energy and Minerals Minister Sospeter Muhongo told parliament that the policy will only be ready after legislators approved both the proposed policy and legislation. He has also allayed fears from the Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation that the country planned to put up 7 deep offshore blocks in October for exploration, without the required legislation.
