The 710HP Family SUV! /// 2023 Durango Hellcat Full Tour and Review

Описание: Firstly, huge shoutout to @dodgeofficial for providing this Octane Red 2023 Durango Hellcat for a week. This Premium tester came in at over $100k and after a week, my wallet was drained at the gas pump, the brakes could use a replacement, and the exhaust may be melting the bumper a bit. But the smile on my face stays permanent and my experience is one to remember for a long time. No other 3-row V8 SUV can deliver the insanity that the Durango Hellcat offers: from a screaming supercharger, howling exhaust, heart racing acceleration, and a very surprisingly competent chassis. I think it’s worth every penny. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

🏁 @Alllcarnews Spec Sheet: Under the hood is the legendary 6.2L Supercharged HEMI V8 here making 710HP paired to a strengthen 8 speed gearbox and point going to all four wheels. That supercharger is big at 2.4L and spins up to 14,600RPM to produce 11.6psi of boost. I got 0-60 in 3.7sec with a wonderful 8.5MPG average. Oh and it can Tow 8,700lbs! The 1/4 mile happens in just 11.5sec too. 🏁

Highs:
-Every startup was an event and I genuinely didn’t use the radio the whole week JUST to listen to all the wonderful engine/exhaust sounds.
-The Durango is a true muscle SUV that can… handle?? I pulled nearly 1G around a corner and it felt planted, controlled and stable. Steering is surprisingly sharp but devoid of feedback. And the suspension, was my favorite part: body stayed generally stiff and controlled without ruining the ride.

Lows:
-Fuel economy, if you even care, is horrible. I averaged around 8.5MPG over a week.
-While the interior facelift is welcome, you can’t hide the decade old bits that haven’t been updated, especially in a $100k machine.
-Fuel already is expensive but tires, brakes, and maintenance may also add up as it’s hard to NOT drive this thing hard.

Solid 8.5/10 for me.
