Описание: We’re back on the road for Day 3 of our Central Arnhem Road adventure, picking up from where we left you last time at the relaxing Mainoru Store.

After a peaceful stay here we hit the road once again, diving into this beautiful, rugged and remote outback.
This stretch of the journey is as wild as it gets, with the sandy roads rich in iron ore and endless bushland that surrounds us.

From the Mainoru Store we travel through Bulman, pulling up at the Gulin Gulin Community Store to grab some fuel.
Sadly we discover there had been a death in the community and one of the main streets was closed, so we had to take a detour around the block.

Along the way we come across another huge pack of wild donkeys and I’ll admit I tried to convince one of them to come home with me but sadly there were no takers.

Our journey led us to Rocky Bottom Creek, our third camp along the Central Arnhem Road and this one was an absolute cracker!!
The camp is tucked right beside a fresh, running creek offering a perfect blend of serenity and rugged outback charm.
We soaked every inch of this one up by simply lighting a campfire, listening to the soothing sounds of the water and just unwinding in this peaceful, tranquil spot.
Laying in bed that night hearing the gentle rush of the creek outside was really something else.
It was a magical moment even more so waking up in the morning to the same relaxing soundtrack of running water, it’s these simple pleasures that make these outback adventures truly special.

Sadly, we could have stayed here longer but it was time to move on and continue down our last leg of the Central Arnhem Road towards Nhulunbuy.

This adventure is only just beginning, so stay tuned as we explore and take you around East Arnhem Land.

Here’s a quick guide:

Recreational Permit – Required for beaches, walking tracks, and day-use areas.
