The news regularly state that huge amounts of food are wasted and that this has to be avoided. In this video these news are put into perspective. It is shown that the avoidable food waste is actually a rather small fraction - which nevertheless should be avoided. To become globally sustainable requires a large area of additional fertile land. This can only be made available, if we avoid the largest waste of our agricultural system: animal-based food production. How this relates quantitatively is shown in this video.
