Even before the announcement of the dates for the Karnataka assembly elections, Muslim leaders had demanded from their respective parties that they should be given maximum tickets in the elections. Because the role of Muslims in politics is decreasing. Now national parties like BJP and Congress have released their list of candidates for 224 seats in Karnataka assembly elections. It has become clear from these lists that the fear in the minds of Muslim leaders is probably correct.

Voting for the 2023 Karnataka Legislative Assembly elections is to be held on 10 May. Both Congress and BJP parties have announced the names of 224 candidates. In which Congress has fielded Muslim candidates in only 11 out of 224 seats. On the other hand, BJP did not consider any Muslim leader worthy of contesting elections. The Bharatiya Janata Party did not field a Muslim face in even one of the 224 seats, perhaps Muslims do not come under BJP's slogan of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas'.
