For DragonFable's 18th anniversary month, we finally received the last challenge on the Ties that Bind board; a throwback to Void dragons from Nythera's questlines in Book 1. Now, at first glance, these dragons don't pose too much threat in their solos, but as a duo? They became a contender for one of the moderately harder fights of the Inn, and particularly for pure INTno and WISno; while I managed to clear the fight with INTno, I was unable to consistently replicate it for a video, so I have instead recorded another Techno strategy for the fight - one that, while less conventional, is very consistent and effective (albeit slower than other classes like Ranger, Pirate and Cryptic).
For this duo, the key mechanic to watch out for is a HP check every 5 turns - starting from turn 4, the dragons check each others' HPs every 5 turns, and if their HP difference is greater than 10% (1254), they'll both start attacking you with huge Null damage that is effectively impossible to avoid. In order to counteract this, you have to bring both dragons' HPs down at about the same rate - similarly to Fallen Purpose.
Beyond this, each dragon has a few tricks to watch out for.
The Creatioux Dragon is the more 'defensive'/rogue-like of the pair, carrying;
a small MPMBPD shield (60+10X) that becomes larger for every non-permanent effect (X) you have
a permanent buff to Boost and Bonus that gets stronger (+20X) for each use (X), unless reset by a stun
an attack that automatically heals 5% of its max HP, and inflicts a 2 turn DoT if it hits
a -20 All/+20 Health/-30 Boost effect that lasts for 4 turns inclusive
The Decadere Dragon on the other hand is more 'offensive'/aggressive, and uses attacks such as;
3 beam attacks of different strengths that, if any land, will stun your pet for the next turn
a permanent -All/-Bonus that gets stronger on each use (-5+5X, where X increases by 2 per use) unless reset by a stun
an attack that sets up 6 turns of 33% damage reflect, and if any hits land, will also drain you of a huge chunk of your INT/STR/DEX/CHA/LUK
an attack that, if it lands, heals the Decadere for 5% max HP and inflicts you with -90MPMBPD for 4 turns inclusive
an attack that inflicts a 3-turn +75 Health
On top of these effects, each dragon has the ability to buff the other dragon with +600 Crit for a turn, depending on whose HP is higher. This happens during the HP checks - whoever has the lower HP will buff the other dragon with +600 Crit, meaning that the lower HP dragon interrupts their rotation for one more turn. We can exploit this to make the two dragons' rotations less aligned with each other, making it easier to clump up or delay more threatening attacks for when our shield is ready.
