In an important decision, the Supreme Court imposed a fine on the UP government and UP police, saying that civil matters are constantly being made criminal, due to which the burden on the courts is increasing. It is not that the Supreme Court has not said this before. Earlier, the Supreme Court has imposed a fine of up to Rs 25 lakh for filing a civil case as a criminal case.
Supreme Court lawyer Vikas Gupta said that if a false and fake FIR has been lodged against you, then immediately get the false FIR dismissed in the High Court under Section 482 of CrPC or Section 528 of BNSS.
