How to make a simple axe handle protection

I decided it was time to add some improvements to my big axe.
So in this video I am making some leather protection on the axe handle. Like so many other things I´ve made, this was also something I have never done before. And the result was more functional than awesome looking, in all honesty.
But that was my point; to make something functional.
Currently I am planning the February part of my 12 motnh challenge, so that video will also be coming soon.
And I am also gonna make a sheath to this axe shortly.
