He also continues to stand by him despite his latest coaching failure - the Bears 20-19 loss to the Packers on Sunday. Poles also didn’t want to explore hiring Jim Harbaugh last offseason, which has aged poorly given the Bears struggles + the Chargers success. Also, Poles’ inability to build the Bears offensive line has been a glaring issue as well. Could the Bears GM be in danger of getting fired at the end of the 2024 NFL Season?

One big Ryan Poles question is this: Would the McCaskey family allow Poles to fire Matt Eberflus during the season? The Bears have never fired a coach midseason and after firing OC Shane Waldron, firing Eberflus seems unlikely before the end of the year.
