LLVM have been supporting dynamic loading of user-passes for a long time, and dynamic loading through `opt` is easy to setup.
However, tighter integration withing the toolchain is not as easy, when one wants a pass to be integrated to clang/bugpoint/lto, or to be statically-linked for ease of deployment.
Since version 10.0.1, LLVM has gained an extension mechanism upgrade that leverage on existing plugin mechanism while keeping maintenance low.
This talk showcase this new mechanism, its interaction with new and legacy passmanager and how it can be used to support different downstream usage of LLVM.
