Interview with Percy Granger about his youth and the influence of Grainger's mother on his musical life. She regarded music as an emotional experience.
They discuss the importance of Grainger's compositions in addition to his piano playing. Also notes the importance of Edvard Grieg's works in his career.
They also discuss Grainger's love of nature and fondness for walking great distances. Mentions recently playing with the West Point Military Band.
Recording referred to but not played. However, I will have a link at the end of this video to hear a more modern recording of the piece with score.
