In this short documentary, we look back on the Netherlands’ journey to the World Cup through the voices of those who shaped it. Captain Scott Edwards reflects on leading the side through high-pressure qualifiers, while Tim de Leede shares perspective from a lifetime spent in Dutch cricket. Netherlands manager and cricket lover John van Vliet provides insight into the foundations of the modern national team, alongside reflections from internationals Sikander Zulfiqar and Ahmed Zulfiqar, who represent a generation that pushed Dutch cricket forward. Fast bowler Vivian Kingma adds the view from within the squad that lived the journey.
Together, their stories trace how Dutch cricket continues to compete on the global stage — and what it takes to qualify, again and again, for a T20 World Cup.
