ABOUT ME:
I'm Gisella, a former Au Pair in the US (2012-2014) from Brazil. I was also an LCC and now, I am the Northeast Area Coordinator at EurAupair! Because this exchange program transformed my life, my main goal is to inspire young ladies (and why not boys too!) to make their dreams come true while experiencing this amazing opportunity of living in the US with an American Host Family for 1 or 2 years:) and to prove American families that hosting an Au Pair is the best child care option!

WHAT IS AN AU PAIR:
The Au Pair program in the US is an intercultural exchange child care program for young people of 18-26 years of age that offered them an opportunity to live in the US for a minimum of 12 months. The term "Au Pair" comes from French and it represents "equal to", which means that you will not only live at a Host Family's house, but you will also become part of the family, participating in their daily routine; providing child care in exchange of a weekly stipend, room & board, and school compensation.

WHAT IS AN LCC:
Local Community Counselor is the agency representative that lives within an hour from the Host Family and who helps to mediate any conflicts between the Au Pair and the Host Family. She is the first person Au Pairs go to for immediate support.
