Kano Ex-Officials Accuse Government of Intimidation After Resignation

Описание: In Kano, former members of the State Executive Council have accused the state government of intimidation following their resignation after Governor Abba Yusuf’s defection to the APC. The former commissioners claim they were ordered to return their official vehicles but argue that, according to the Revised 2023 Revenue Mobilisation and Fiscal Commission Act, they are entitled to retain them. They further allege that a former Commissioner for Transport had previously been allowed to keep their official vehicle, raising concerns about selective treatment.
The ex-officials have approached the court to seek judicial clarification on the matter, while also accusing security operatives of trespassing into their homes and removing personal vehicles. Amidst the political drama, they urge their supporters to remain calm as the legal process unfolds.
